A beautiful boutique hotel in a calm and upmarket area. Modern yet sumptious, stylish and peaceful. Very clean, with professional, friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay again, preferably when I had more time to enjoy the facilities!

The hotel was clean and tidy but, for the price, although both the room and the bathroom were very comfortable it was very small. The drinks in the bar are very expensive at £6.00 each for a Bacardi and coke and a Grand Marnier.

The hotel is well presented but don't be fooled by the presentation, the customer service is negligable and the room descriptors misleading.

An excellent hotel. We have stayed about five times now and it has always been consistently excellent. It can be fully booked but the staff always make you feel as though you are the only ones there, very relaxing. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay , easy access from airport via train ot taxi. Good eating in Didsbury Village. Would go back and try to get the lateavailability either via hotel direct or laterooms.com which makes the relaxing experience even nicer!

Hotel charges extra for broadband and the £15 breakfast was good but not that good! Staff not overly friendly. It could have been so much better.

the hotel was well placed for access to Manchester and Didsbury. Had a lovely night's sleep, for all the time I was there. Hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Couldn't do enough to make sure my stay was an enjoyable one. Even at half 4 in the morning when I eventually rolled in, the girl behind reception still had a smile on her face

My low customer service score was because my first impressions were poor. The receptionist was unfriendly and uncommunicative. You have to ring the doorbell to get in so it's a bit like arriving at a business meeting. They add an amount on to your card to cover for potential room-bar charges when you register (this isn't charged if you don't use it). There was no offer to carry my bags to my room and the stairs were narrow. Later that evening and the following morning there was a different member of staff on reception and she was lovely.

To be totally honest I was disappointed with the room we were given. I know the standard rate was £145 and we paid £87.50 because we went through laterooms.com, but I thought the whole point of laterooms.com was that you got the same standard of room at a reduced price. In fact our room was very small for a 4 star hotel and located by the side reception door which was really disappointing. I had looked at the photos on their site of the rooms, and needless to say ours did not reflect them (although I know they would only show their best rooms). This is the first time I had used your website and wont use it again because it seems to be that the hotels will use their worst rooms for these offers rather than a genuine discount on a good room. I have bever complained about anything in my life, so that fact I have taken the time to complain hopefully demonstrates how disappointed we were.

A very unique hotel. Relatively small but exclusive, in a lovely area but close to Manchester. Excellent attention to detail, Room was fantastic & actually made we want to stay in for the night instead of going out ! Really good value. Would definately stay again, much better than usual faceless hotel chains.

Take care when booking Classic/Villa rooms if you're hoping for a touch of luxury. If you go onto the Hotel website and check out the tarrif you'll find detailed room descriptions. The description of the villa room did not match the first room we were allocated (room 20): a very small room (pokey) (they claim spacious) at best a queen sized bed when they claim king sized, and an uninspiring bathroom with shower over bath. The staff did move us on request, to a room we were much happier with (34)but our overall experience was marred by a hugely disappointing first impression. The hotel brochure does correctly state queen sized beds - sadly the hotel website is blatantly overselling.
