The hotel is only blocks from Victoria Square, perfect if you are coming from Gatwick Airport. The Gatwick Express takes you directly to Victoria Square. You are in walking distance of Westminister and the tube is on other side of Victoria Square. Had a great time. Front desk is very helpful. There is no elevator and breakfast room is in basement, so if you can not do stairs, this place is not for you. We were on the first floor and there was no noise from other rooms and there was a window that opened which allowed fresh air in at night. If you are from US, five doors down from hotel is small store and they gave us better rates for exchange of money then the airport did. King George Inn "Pub" great food at a good price.

My husband, daughter, and I stayed in room 26 at the Dover hotel for a 5 day vacation. The location was excellent, and the staff was courteous. The room we had faced the street, and the foot traffic leaving the pub down the street kept us up at night. In retrospect, we should have asked for another room, but didn't know if there was another triple room available. We especially liked being near the Sainsbury market (2 blocks away, and near the bus stop) to buy water and snacks, and their deli makes good pizza. We only ate breakfast at the hotel the first morning, and it consisted of cold cereal and toast. If they offered some type of pastry, we would probably have eaten there every day. The coffee and hot chocolate were okay, but the orange juice was a little sour. There are plenty of places nearby that serve breakfast, so was not a big problem. Overall, the hotel was okay, and we felt safe walking in the neighborhood. Very close to Victoria Station, which was nice.

Hotel looks like an all "third world" house, with old room furniture, fractured walls, old and rusty bathroom equipment. Extremely limited room space. I would suggest to avoid this hotel, since the money I have paid for that does not reppresent a right value for the quality I have received. And in reality, it does not look at all like in the photos posted on the web-site.

Overall clean hotel, good beds, very small room, idem bathroom but working well. Daytime employee was top. Nighttime employees OK and breakfast ladies completely uninspired. Continental breakfast was fine. Price/Quality OK+

We stayed in London 4 days. The Dover hotel was better than we expected: simple but really clean. The bathroom was really small but everything in it was brand new, the bedroom was small and simple too but, again, clean and comfortable. For breakfast we were served toasts, butter and jam, simple but good. The location of the hotel is a few minute walk from Victoria Station in a very quiet street.

The room was extremely small with almost no space for placing your clothes for a one week stay, had to "live from our suitcases". Location and public transport excellent. Numerous good, different type restaurants and cafés nearby.

One of best values for the price in this part of the city. Excellent location and public transport. Rooms are quite small (but that's stadard in London) but clean and not too worn out. Top floor is unsuitable for "bigger" people or those who can't climb narrow steep stairs. I'd stay here again.

Room (7 - first floor)quiet and clean, bed very comfortable, bathroom small but large enough and very clean. Day clerk very nice and useful, night clerk nice but unable to give me the directions I asked (bus vs metro)... However, the price is a bit too high for this hotel, a regular one.

If you're looking for a cubbyhole with the smallest shower available, this is the place. If you want toast and cereal for breakfast when one of the few tables comes available, then this is your place. It doesn't look anything at all like the room in the pictures! I won't stay there again, and I don't recommend it for a party of two who want a room with a little space for moving around.

For a family with 3 teenage boys the room and bath were very small. The distance between Victoria Station and the hotel is about a 5 minute walk but arriving at the station for a new visitor can be confusing so directions to the hotel could be better. The Hop-on/off bus stop(Victoria Station)was close and the hotel staff helpful in being able to provide us with tickets.
