I pick this hotel because of the location and name associated with this Hotel. I stayed at the Doubletree on Sunny Isle last year and that was nice. This hotel was is misleading. The rooms are very small. The bed takes up most of the room and you do not have much room to move around. I thought I would be getting a view of the beach but my view was of the building next door. No room has a view of the beach. The curtain do not close all the way so the person in the building next door could look in our room. I had to hang up a cover to give us some privacy. We I got there they give me a room that had not be clean. I had to wait 5 hours before I could get a clean room. My experience at this DoubleTree was not great. Plus parking is 42 a night.

The management should look into the problem of sound proofimg of the rooms. My husband and I did not get enough sleep as the people next door were just too loud and noisy and not being considerate even late after midnight. When the person next room closes their door, you can hear the bang of the door. Also would suggest to have a complimentary disposable combs and/or shaver for the customer to use.

It was a nice and cozy place. I liked that it had a large pool area for a small hotel and the beach had easy access.

This was my second time staying at the Surfcomber. Both times I went with a group of girlfriends and we had a fantastic time. Fun restaurants and nightlife are within walking distance. Staff is helpful and laid-back and rooms are clean and bigger in size compared to most Miami hotels. You are welcomed with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies upon check in. Don't be afraid to ask for more!!

I read reviews that complained of small rooms. The rooms were small, but very nice quality... and who would waste much vacation time in their room anyway? Staff was friendly and very accomodating. On the boardwalk and nice pool area.

It's great for a night or two, but I wouldn't schedule a vacation here.

Small but nice room for the money, steps from the beach and pool. Slow service but friendly. A great value in South Beach for sure.

It cost us 25% of the room cost to valet park our car. When dining at the restaurant, expec that the tip will automatically added to check. Internet access is extra too.

The hotel was excellent. Friendly staff except for the valet. They started to get a little ticked off at the fact that I needed my car more than 3 times a day. There was no parking on the street so you had no option but to pay $40.00 a day for valet and yet they still complained about retrieving the car so often. The front desk staff was wonderful. The manager made sure that my needs were met.

Room small with a horrible view; overpriced; close to the beach; convenient located.

Great affordable place amid all the luxurious hotels on the South Beach strip.

At check in the front desk seemed confused. Maybe new. when we got to room it was horrible, stains on carpet and walls, size of bed, etc. we called down to tell them they put us in the wrong room without the king size bed and they argued with us. I Called the manager and he said. Sorry about that, can I give you a complimentary breakfast? At $300 per night for a motel style room I didn't think a free breakfast would make it alright. We declined and he did nothing else. Don't be fooled by the great location. This was the poorest hotel experience I have ever had.

This is a mini-resort tucked in to a great beach location within walking distance of great restaurants and shops.

Location was fabulous, right on the beach. Hotel staff was responsive and professional. However, the cleaning crew really only made the beds and replaced towels and things. They did not throw things away.

Relative to many hotels where I have stayed in south beach, this is a pretty good hotel. The quality was better than I expected.

Checked out 1 day early, housekeeping no where to be found. I was charged 70.00 for 2 pillows I was accused of taking (which they have credited back) though I can see where such a mishap could happen due to lack of housekeeping staff. Rooms are rather small and lack a smell of cleanliness. My trip was for an event at the Jackie Gleason theater and was a block away from the hotel, if you're traveling to s. Beach for an event there, I'd recommend the hotel outside of that, you can do much better.

Overall, a very nice hotel. The neighboring hotels had live entertainment, and seemed a little more exotic. The rooms were nice for the age of the hotel, and the staff was extremely good at their jobs! Parking was very expensive at $29.00 a night.

For the price it was good - great location we could walk to all the hot spots. Right on the beach and with a pool. I'd recommend.
