Within walking distance of the theatre district and downtown attractions in Boston; also in close proximity to Tufts Medical Center. Serene atmosphere; multi-national guests; friendly staff. Room was very clean and the towels large! We requested a quiet location and our wish was graciously granted. Parking was very expensive ($36.00 per night charged). We also had to walk to a neighborhood store for the Sunday paper...perhaps the hotel should have a supply for convenience of their guests. Those are our only suggestions...we had a nice stay!

No need to. It looked nice and that staff was very friendly however our room already had dirty glasses in front of the door and when we walked in it smelt like cigarettes. Not to mention the mini bar had not been filled since the last people stayed which obviously was about 5 minutes before we got there. Nice on the outside.

Pleasant hostess checked us in and gave us hot chocolate chip cookies. Tasty. Good location, within walking distance to many fine restaurants or theaters. Try Maggianos for a fine Italian dinner. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was most times computers were busy in use by other guests. They could use more than 3 computers for their guests. Eventually I got to use it though. Very good value.

The Doubletree Hotel - Downtown Boston is another example of a top tier brand whose properties are badly in need of remodel to maintain the brand standards. While the lobby, bar, and open areas met my expectations, except for the creaky floors, antiquated bathroom, and older model TV.

Allowed us to check in at 10 am. Convenient to subway, resturants and theater district. Beds comfortable, rooms clean, YMCA pool next door, BUT floor in fifth floor room squeaked and popped like bubble wrap when we walked on it. Woke up children everytime we walked to bathroom. Loved Boston!!

A good inexpensive hotel. It was clean but it is right near the NE Medical Center, so there were lots of ambulance sirens all night. Also, it is on the Orange Line, which is not the safest to travel on especially at night.

Great location for a hotel. Minutes walk to travel attractions, tour info, bus/train & freeway. We were right next to the subway. The street & neighborhood was well lit & looked relatively safe for walking even late at night. Was a little nervous about the possibility of wailing sirens from ambulances arriving at hospital across the street but fortunately that didn't happen the 2-3 night over a major holiday weekend.

This hotel is so close to everything. We did not have a car and it was not a problem. Staff very nice. Restaurant expensive and not really that good but who cares tons of restaurants near by.

Clean facility throughout. The shower could be a bit larger with more water pressure but we didn't complain. Location is very close to subway & bus transportation so easy to access all attractions. Felt very safe. You can hear an occ. ambulance for the hosp across the street but all in all it was not bad. We would stay there again mostly b/c of the cookies, location @ .

The hotel would be nice, as long as they remove the dorm-like connecting doors between the rooms.

All hotels should new non-smoking. Didn't necessarily exceed my expectations for a three star hotel. I was very skeptical about this hotel. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly, accommodated all our requests, great hotel for kids. The lobby and bathrooms should be renovated. All in all we had a great stay and the location was great, central close to the T.

Doubletree' Hotel Boston-Downtown, BOSTON, MA Room was very nice, clean and newly renovated. Ample size with desk. Conveniently located in the business district. There are two business centers in the hotel with free internet. The rooms have internet for a fee. The staff was the standout. They were very friendly and very helpful. I will stay there again when in Boston.

The Doubletree was perfect and the business amenities allowed for a very productive, efficient stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly, no matter the request. The room was comfortable and no ridiculous frills which is exactly what I wanted. I will definitely stay at the Doubletree again and wholeheartedly recommend the hotel to business associates as well as family and friends.
