If you want to avoid paying a lot of money for a downtown Hotel in Boston I would recommend the Doubletree: it has large rooms, an in-house coffee shop, and is 3 minutes walk from the metro station which takes you straight into downtown Boston. The hotel also offers complimentary shuttles to/from the airport. I stayed there for the Boston marathon and it was very convenient.

Not for anyone but business because they mostly are looking for sleep and not quality.

This is a good hotel if you aren't hungry. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. I think a hotel whose main focus is the business traveller (next door to the Boston Expo Center) should have a working restaurant. The weather was terrible when we were there, and we would like to have had the option to sit down and eat in an in-hotel restaurant. That said, the staff was very helpful in printing down menus for restaurants in the area that delivered. Would stay again if it was for an event at the Expo; otherwise, a little too far out of town.

The hotel was clean, my room was very nice. The staff were very nice. My biggest complaint was there is no resturant on site (except an Au Bon Pan) and no room service.

This hotel is a no frills stay. If you are expecting a luxury vacation, this is not the hotel for you; however, if you just want a nice place to sleep after a long day in the Boston, then this hotel is perfect for you. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. My only negative comment, is that parking is not free; 10$ a day, and each time you want to leave you have to stop by the front desk to have your parking validated.

This was our 3rd stay at the Doubletree Boston Bayside. Dining options are bleak; however, the T station is within short walking distance of the hotel (about 5 - 10 minutes). The hotel has an Au Bon Pain - and the cookies you receive at check-in are delicious!!! You can buy more at Au Bon Pain if you'd like. Service was great. The last time we stayed, I think we had a renovated room on a high floor - it was pretty luxurious for the money spent. This stay was on the first floor in the front of the building - the room needs updating. All in all, good value for the location - quick T ride into downtown to enjoy Boston. I would definitely stay again and ask for a room on a higher floor!

The shuttle from Logan was quick. They even took me to South Station the next morning which was closer to where I needed to be. Could build restaurants nearby, but there's a pool at UMASS we can use and they provide a shuttle there and also to Doubletree Downtown, and I LOVED the sandwiches at Au Bon Pain.

Minutes from the train station which was great and convenient Au Bon Pan for breakfast. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms but definitely no luxury or chicness to it. Great hotel for people who just need somewhere to sleep after touring the city.

We were very pleased with this hotel. We were in town to attend an event at the Bayside Expo. It was very convenient and easy to find the hotel. Just a short walk to the T station got us to intown Boston. Our room was ready early.

Hotel is two blocks from the red line train so you can get anywhere. Has a small food store inside and that helps for eating on the run.

This hotel was a perfect location for us, less than a mile from U-Mass Boston where we were attending a function. It was just off the highway and easy to find. The hotel is nicely decorated with very comfortable bedding and was also very quiet.

Rooom was clean and location was okay. During check in the clerk did not seem to have time for us. Too busy with other calls as if we were bothering her. Gave us poor information on location of some nearby businesses, as if we were a bother. My wife left a set of expensive pajamas folded up on the pillow. Called back there immediately, clerk will not call her back and manager will not call back. Staffing is poor but rooms were fine.
