This hotel is very good for a one or two day trip to Lyon, in the city not far away from all sightseeing points. You can arrive all by feet. No comfort but rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly an dzhe price was good. Use the garage. Wi-fi was very good.

The Hotel Des Savoies lies almost in the middle of Lyon, very centralized, next to one of the Metro-stations in town. The Hotel had very nice staff, and the service was enormous. We (all 4 of us) enjoyed staying at Hotel Des Savoies. If return to Lyon in the future, we would absolutely consider staying here once more :) Thank you! Mette & Co.

Room was excellent, esp. for the discount price - spacious and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful - about half spoke English and still managed to communicate OK with the other half. Breakfast fairly basic, but seems to be quite normal, and was served efficiently. Only hand-held shower head, but otherwise well-fitted bathroom. Overall, definitely recommended.

hotel ideally located next to metro station Gran Via. Nice, comfortable hotel to stay. However, because of prostitution near the hotel, I would not recommend this hotel to women travelling on their own.

It is definitely not worth the money. We have stayed at small budget hotels for less and had even better and cleaner rooms and better bathrooms. It has not been renewed for a long time I believe. The blankets were awful. The parking of the hotel is actually an old car maintenance hall and the cars are parked in it like sardines. It is very small and could hardly take more then 10 cars. They also request your car keys to be left at the reception so they can drive out all the cars that are in the way if someone wants to drive out. That is not very safe and they do not take any responsibility if the car is scratched or something else happens with it. We did not leave the keys anyway and they said they might call us any time when someone wants to get out.

Excellent budget hotel next to the main bus/metro/tram station in the Presqu'île. Several restaurants nearby. 10 minutes walking to more central areas. Would go back.

The hotel was a typical well priced two star hotel, had on street (though difficult to find) parking and paid parking (that was underground, secure and excellent). On the night we had problems connecting to wifi (but the hotel kindly offered their computer). Staff members were always helpful and the location was excellent (just around the corner from the Christmas markets and a short walk across the Rhone to the old town.

Near bus terminus but out of the way and room (bathroom, TV) too small for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful but seemed lacking in other language skills but French. Clean room though usual issues with older hotel.

the room was to small for one matrimonial bed and two single beds.the room was next to the elevator and in the morning we had a lot of noise.i think that also the walls were not enought. we had also to pay the parking 9 euro and the breakfast (consist only in a cup of coffee and a croissant - too much 6 euro per person).the hotel is next to the center (5-10 minutes walk). the personal seems ok, giving explanations and information.

Stayed for 4 nights on business, quite pleased to see wifi access was free as the ten (or so) tv channels were close to uninteresting. Lots of restaurants and cafés locally. There is a parking for you bikers out there (like me ;o). Nice to have: a more substantial breakfast and a new carpet on the first floor. I'll recommend this to the single traveller, unless they have larger rooms for families.

Very pleased with our one night stay en route to Vienne Jazz Festival. Very convenient to Lyon Parrache Station (Satobus, from airport, drops-off here. For a meal try the Bistro George, just across the railway line, is recommended.

Hotel close to the train station with a great cafe - Victor Hugo - not far away. We were given a room for 4 which made for more space. Why are so many French hotel rooms pink? Bedspreads were outdated but the beds themselves were good. Internet said entire property air-conditioned. It wasn't. Decor made the room look worse than it was.
