The location of the hotel is fantastic - 10 minutes from the Vatican in one direction and 5 minutes to the river and the Piazza Di Popolla in the other. The rooms are relatively small but very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. The breakfast was good, although be aware that you will be eating it in your room as there are no dining facilities. All in all we were happy with the accommodation and would stay again.

Great stay and great location. The two young men who ran the bed and breakfast were extremely helpful and welcoming. We loved the breakfast served in the room every morning. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

This was a terrific find! The price was right, service great and the location was ideal for walking anywhere in Rome. We would definitely stay again and can't wait to make our next trip back to Rome! Thank you for making our first trip to Italy and our 10 year anniversary one we will always remember!

The reception was great. We arrived early and given a choice of beverages. Our luggate was stored and placed in our room by the time we returned. The staff was great. The breakfast tasty and well presented in our suite. It was as if we were all alone in the apartment. The bath was small but more than adequate. The shower was tiny - but clean. The staff assisted us with travel information to the airport and to other areas we wanted to tour. The metro was a five minute walk. The area was very very safe!!! The area was upsacale and full of restaurants and within walking distance to the Vatican. We will be back to this bed and breakfast!!!! We loved it!!!!

The staff - Chris, Jun and Gabriele (the owner) were all very helpful and kind. The location is excellent. On the negative side, the lack of adequate public/common areas was regrettable, the breakfast - while ample in amount and choice - was tricky to consume enjoyably in the room and the coffee was cold every morning. The promised WiFi did not work and was not fixed in the three days of my stay, although I was allowed to use the staff computer in exchange. The price, while quite reasonable compared to a hotel, was a little high considering neighbouring B and Bs offered the same service and/or better amenity but for less money. All in all, I would stay here again but probably only if I was unable to find other similar options.

The staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The rooms were comfortable, clean and adequately large. Have travelled to Rome at least a dozen times and this was by far the best place I've stayed - convenient location with the most helpful and kind staff ever encountered in Rome!

Excellent, friendly, and very helpful staff. The room was very clean and security was outstanding. This property has a small elevator, which was great for moving our luggage. Highly recommend this B&B. Staff even arranged for a driver to take us back to the airport. Molte grazie to the entire staff of Residenza Cola di Rienzo. A+

We really enjoyed our stay here. The service was impeccable!! So friendly and helpful. The price seems high in comparison to other areas, but that's just Rome. The views out the front rooms are beautiful as they look down the streets...however, then you deal with the street noise. The back rooms are very quiet, but do not have very nice views. Just depends what you need. But we can't speak highly enough about the service. That alone would bring us back again!

My wife and I have travelled extensively around the world and based on that experience I can recommend this bed and breakfast without hesitation. We paid 124 eur per night which is a little over our usual budget but it was certainly worth it! The normal price as advertised on the hotel web pages is 150 eur (high season) but through Venere we got it for 130 eur minus a 4% discount (discount codes are worth hunting for on the web). The hotel is situated in an old XIXe century building. In fact it is an appartement that has been transformed into a BB including 4 rooms. Upon our arrival we were warmly greated by an employee who was extremely kind and helpful during our whole stay. Our room had one window on the street. Luckily the air conditioning was working alright because the traffic outside is very noisy and never stops. The breakfast is brought directly to the room which is a little inconvenient given that there is no table except the desk. The room is equipped with cable TV. We especially appreciated that since we managed to find a channel broadcasting the ice hockey world championships finals (Finland-Canada). Did I mention we are from Finland!

This was a really convenient place to stay for the vatican (ten minutes away) and not too long a walk to the main centre of Rome. The B and B staff were really nice and welcoming and the place was spotlessly clean.Breakfast was good, served on a tray in your room! Room service at no extra cost.! Bathroom was small but usable and, if you can, request a room at the back of the property as it is a lot quieter. We had a small problem where we had to change rooms because they were having some work done and the second room wasnt as nice as the first so a bit annoying. Other than that we had a really nice stay and would recommomend this place and would certainly go back there. The ice cream from a bar a few doors along on the on the left on the same side of the road as the hotel is to die for.! Nice to stop there when for a drink when you return from a long days walking.

Without a question, the service at this hotel was outstanding. I am a hotel manager for one of the largest and most respectable hotel chains in the world and I am always very observant of the service I get. The owner of this hotel, Gabriel and his team's customer skills are fantastic. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The hotel is in a great shopping area and only 4 blocks away from the Metro. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Rome. Thanks Grabriel and Christopher for the outstanding welcome and service my parents, partner and I received during our family vacation in November 2006!

Great location and responsive staff. Located near great shopping and very clean neighborhood. Would highly recommend this to all travelers who want to stay west of the Tiber and close to Vatican.

I was very satisfied with the hotel. It met all my expectations. It was clean, nice comfortable beds, and quiet (The double pane glass windows kept out street noise well). They had the best continental breakfasts that I had in Italy. The hotel was very convenient to the vatican (10 min walk down Cola di Rienzo). Shopping is to be found all along Cola di Rienzo. Buses run nearby about a block away, although I found it faster to walk as traffic could be bad. Subway is nearby which was convenient at Lepanto station. Also, hop-on Hop-off tour bus was nearby, 10 min away, in front of the vatican.

The rooms are furnished in a "modern" style with the latest items from Ikea. By my tastes, this gives the rooms and common space a "cold," uncharming feeling, but some guests might like the absence of "older" furnishings with character. The young Filipino men who prepare a good breakfast and clean the rooms are very nice, friendly fellows who make up for the "plastic" decor. But the place is much too expensive for a B&B.

Great place. Very welcoming. The room was a bit small, but hey, it's Rome and you are not there to sit your butt in the hotel.5 minutes to the subway, 10 minutes from St. Paul's. Breakfast is served in the room and was great (cappuchino, jams, cruissant, flakes, banana, apple, milk, etc...) On the poor side: shower cabin was very small and you need to squeeze in it (normal for Rome). The room was a bit noisy in the morning (group of american tourists arrived at the property), there is no telephone or PC w/internet at the property, no cable TV, everything in Italian. To find the property is relatively easy: find house #135, there is the only door and press the button with sign Rezidenza Cola di Rienzo. Definitely recommend to stay in the place.
