We only met the Manager, Michal, who was most helpful in every regard, and the cleaners. Breakfast provided at Bohemia Bagel nearby was adequate if not inspiring. We were not aware of any public areas hence rating of 0. We would highly recommend this property for position, comfortable accommodation, rooms serviced daily, readily available information on tours etc and Michal, the property manager could not have been more helpful or courteous. He arranged transfers when required, pick up for a tour to Cezky Krumlov and readily provided any other information required. As a friendly city, full of interest and experiences to be had, Prague was just wonderful. Its grand buildings and position on the Vltivar river added to its charm. We had no unpleasant experiences whatsoever regarding pickpockets, even on the notorious Charles Bridge or tram to the Prague Palace even though we could see how this could happen easily on such packed trams. A visit which will be long remembered.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The rooms were HUGE and immaculate, with wooden floors and white cotton bedlinen. Breakfast was included at a nearby restaurant and was completely delicious - fantastic selection. The location could not be beaten - we just had to walk out of the door to be in the middle of things. Fantastic value - I will definitely be returning!

Stayed here May 2008. Fantastic location on the Castle side of the King Charles Bridge surrounded by reasonably priced cafe bars and restaurants, if you look around some are very cheap. About 15 minute walk over the Bridge to the Old Town Square which is beautiful but much more expensive to eat/drink (search out the backstreets). A delightful/secure residence with 7 rooms (Room 8 is the managers office at the top) on 4 floors. There is no elevator so elderly/infirm/families with young children would struggle. If you want peace and quiet choose the back of the Hotel (Rooms 1,3,5,7) but you will be looking out only onto a whitewashed wall, although Room 7 (where we stayed) is in the attic and looks over the nearby rooftops. The front rooms (2,4,6) have nice views onto the picturesque street but will encounter the hub-hub of the crowds making their way to/from the Bridge a few yards away. The enormous rooms have King size beds which can split in twins. Small fridge, TV and safe are included in price. En suite bathrooms are very large with shower but no bath. Rooms are cleaned/towels changed everyday. No reception as such, contact is made through an intercom at the locked front door where you will be met by the Manager Michal who is a star. Very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for him. For breakfast you receive a voucher for 200 Crowns per person to use at the Bomehia Bagel Cafe which is on the street straight out of the Hotel about 20 meters away, very nice it was too. I would recommend using the Taxi Service (690 Crowns each way) offered to and from Ruzny airport. You can do it cheaper by bus/tram but if you have luggage and dont know the City its worth paying extra for door to door service. First time in Prague and we love it! Would definately recommend this Hotel and would stay here again.

This hotel residence cannot be faulted. Rooms are spacious, and well serviced, indeed impeccable. The location is brilliant, within a few doors of the Charles Bridge. The reception and cleaning staff were friendly and of great assistance, and the personal attention given by management made our stay completely enjoyable. I highly recommend Charles Bridge Residence.

Great place to stay, only 6 doors up from the bridge on the castle side. Very very clean, great bathroom, very big rooms. Breakfast is across the road and is fantastic. There is tea coffee facilities and little fridge. However, no lift, nor front desk though you do get the owners mobile which you can call if you need anything. Would definately recommend and definately stay their again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Charles Bridge Residence. Michael met us at the door and was always just a phone call away. He arranged transportation, laundry and even medical care for us. The Charles Bridge Residence was not fancy but just right for us--comfortable, clean and pleasant. The breakfasts were outstanding. Ready access to internet was important to us.

The cleanliness and having such a large room made this a great value combined with a location that is excellent for walking the old city streets. Breakfast was offsite at a restaurant location not far from the hotel.

CB Residence emailed to ask if I needed airport transfers, a nice touch, but I had made arrangements, 33 return. A very friendly/personal reception. The manager gave us his mobile no in case we needed anything. He booked tours for us, cheap taxis etc. Can't fault his caring hospitality. Room was modern, clean, coffee, hairdrier etc, overlooked the street.Beds VERY comfortable.Location is excellent, you can walk anywhere withing a short space of time. Don't catch taxis off the road. Opera tickets 900 Crowns, dinner cruise a must! Breakfast is along the road, you are given 200 c coupon each and can get what you like on the menu, even a bagel/coke to take away! There is a mini market opposite and shops in the same street. The only reason I couldn't give a higher mark for facilites is there are no restaurants/swim pool etc. The facilites were very good for what we needed. I highly recommend this "hotel". It's not noisy;it's warm in winter.I don't think that there is aircon.

We stayed in the Charles Bridge Residence for four nights which cost 396 and would definitely recommend it. The room was very large, with tea & coffee making facilities, a small fridge, satellite tv and a good sized en suite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. We were on the first floor so the fact that there's no lift didn't bother us. The location is probably one of the best in Prague. It's very central.Bars, shops and restaurants are all around. You can walk to all the sights, yet it's on the less expensive side of the Charles Bridge. The breakfast in the nearby Square restaurant is excellent. It really sets you up for the day, although the service on our last morning (Sunday)wasn't as good as the previous three. One suggestion we would make is that proper cups are left in the room for the tea and coffee. We had to make do with plastic cups or glasses, but that was just a minor problem. This hotel was great value for money.

Fantastic location 100 metres or less from the Charles Bridge and walking distance to practically everywhere. We had a large, spacious room with a very good bathroom. Great breakfast included as well at the Bagel place across the road. The connection to and from the airport was smooth and arranged by the hotel for a reasonable price. Word of warning, however: a double bed does not actually mean that, but two twins shoved together joined by a sheet. As they say on the London Underground "mind the gap" - especially if you get a bit amorous!
