| This hotel was in an excellent central location very close to the main bus station. The room was quite spacious, comfortable & clean. The only negative comment is that the breakfast was pretty limited and not very tasty. |

| Just got back this week from a lovely 5 night stay in Athens. Hotel Amazon was in a great position forSyntagma Sq and shopping sites etc. We caught X95 Bus from the Airport for 3.20 euros each. Bus terminates at Syntagma and you just walk a few minutes downhill to the hotel. The rooms were spotless clean and modern, beds great. Rooms quite small by American standards but really ample. The hotel was simple, no bar but as plenty of restaurants and bars located outside this was not a problem.There was a lovely little breakfast room on the first floor. Breakfast was sausage, eggs etc and the usual breads, fruits, certeals juices and really good coffee/tea.What I loved was that although we were just off the main square the hotel faced into a quieter street and had really good double glazing so you got a great sleep.Staff were really polite and helpful. We got a great rate ?202 (British Pounds) for the 5 nights including breakfast I think that was great for 2 people. The weather in Athens was cold in the mornings but lovely spring like weather in the afternoons. We got there just after the snow.y spell We were visiting mainly to seethe footballl on 21st between Panaithanaikos v Glasgow Rangers. Thje Athens Police were very good and well organised and transport was organised to get the 1000 visitors to and from the stadium via the metro. .The people of Athens were absolutely marvellous, friendly and helpful. I would say Athens is the bestEuropean City I have visited and we have been to most of Europe. I would recommend the Amazon Hotel for anyone wanting a good stay at a good rate close to all the amenities. |
