Rooms are elegantly furnished in an 18th century Venetian style and several have balconies or enjoy spectacular views over the rooftops of Venice with its classic square bell towers and round church domes. | The Amadeus is a small hotel located one block from St Stevens Cathedral in the center of the old town. There are many excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. Best of all, most major historical buildings and museums can be reached by a ten minute walk. The area is charming and several streets have been made into pedestrian walkways. My bed was comfortable but my single room was very small and did not have room for a suitcase stand. The breakfast was standard. The biggest problem was early morning noise in the courtyard below my room. |
