A wonderful hotel in a fabulous historic location. Only a short walk to the Vatican and other attractions in the eternal city. We stayed in a double superior room which had everything in that we wanted. Will certainly return to this hotel and will book through Venere.com - the information and service provided were exceptional.

Great hotel. Highly recommended. Right by the Vatican. Very helpful staff. It's a little bit out of the centre of Rome, but travelling in is really easy and part of the fun. We would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was everything promised on the Venere website and more. This should probably rank as a 5 star hotel. All amenities were fabulous, including a great breakfast which even my picky kids had what to eat, free WiFi connection in our rooms (Which we found to be a rarity in most hotels we stayed in during this trip to Italy), a great location right next to the Vatican museum and a two minute walk to the Metro subway line, and a very clean, well laid out room. The staff were nice and welcoming and gave excellent recommendations of local restaurants, bus routes, and times o visit certain high demand tourist sites. I couldn't say enough good things about Alimande Viale Vaticano.

Hotel Alimandi is fantastic. The location is perfect. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff is courteous and helpful. Our bags did not arrive at Fiumicino and could not be located but the staff at Hotel Alimandi tracked the issue for us. Their efforts resulted in the bags being found and delivered while we spent our time worry free enjoying Rome. I highly recommend this hotel.

Was our last stop before going home from a 12 nite cruise. Just wanted to see the Vatican. What a great location, right across the street from the museum entrance where all the tours meet. Beautiful rooms. Quiet at night when the Vatican is closed. It was the perfect location and hotel. Would recommend it!

This is a very modern, reasonably priced and well run hotel, right next to the Vatican and extremely close to public transportation. The rooms are quiet and well airconditioned. The breakfast is very good and the property even has an ice maker (which can be somewhat rare in Italy). The free shuttle service to and from the alone is a tremendous value.

We were only here for one night since our intention was to rest after a long flight and then rent a car and drive into Tuscany. The room was very nice, large, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and quiet despite being across from the Vatican museums. The breakfast was the best we had in our three week trip to Italy. Actual fresh tasting scrambled eggs and very tasty bacon. We loved it. The hotel staff were great. The owner, his son and another young man (I'm sorry I don't remember their names) were very helpful. I couldn't get my Italian sim card to work in my phone and they fixed that. Then the owner was very helpful in directing us to the rental car office and then helping us to park, and watching the car while we retrieved out luggage. Then he gave us better instuctions than our GPS for getting out of Rome to the highway. This is a great place to stay if you are interested in the Vatican and adjacent areas. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful room! Wonderful breakfast! We loved our stay at this hotel. It was very close to the Vatican Museum (just across the street) and close to St. Peter's. The hotel staff was very helpful in giving us guidance during our stay. The shuttle service from the airport to the hotel saved us over 40 euros for a taxi. The room was spacious and clean. The prices for the items in the minibar were very reasonable. The air conditioner kept the room very cool. Others have mentioned the noise from Viale Vaticano. Even though our room faced the street, we slept very well and I am a light sleeper. With the air conditioning running, the noise from the street was muted. We would stay here the next time we are in Rome. We booked early and were glad we did since the hotel was sold out. Highly recommend this hotel!

Staff were friendly and helpful breakfasts were excellent plenty to choose from. Location of hotel means there is some traffic noise but after first night of four night stay didn't bother us. We had junior suite which on web site doesn't show the sitting room also had private balcony.Just off main square we ate at Chinese restaurant good value for money more that can be said of the Trevi restaurant which didn't show a cover charge of 6 euros per person and the beer was 10 euros for a glass smaller than a pint. Chicken and potatoes were dried chicken with soggy chips and I have tossed fresher salad away. However for a daytime snack try the Cafe Trevi for Panini's and coffee. I would recommend the hotel and Rome to anyone who likes historic sites stay a week to see more

A very nice hotel in a good location. Excellent breakfasts and helpful staff. Obviously handy for the vatican and vatican museum but also near plenty of bus routes for key Rome locations, and metro. Some good nearby restaurants though the one recommended by hotel staff was the least good we visited. The quad room we had was the same size as a double - it's large for a double (two Queen size beds) but a bit tight for a quad. Would happily come again though.

We had an excellent stay. Staff was outstanding in answering our requests. They even arranged for rental car to be picked up at hotel. Breakfast wes bountiful. Room 305 was terrific for 4 persons and had a balcony overlooking the Vatican walls and entrance to Sistine Chapel entrance. It was our first stay and would definitely recommend it. Lots of restaurants in the area. Hotel does not serve dinner. Lunch on occasional basis. Some problems with internet connections. English widely spoken by all the staff.

What a lovely hotel it was just as the pictures on the internet. Very clean, staff were very helpful and the breakfast was ample, we didn't need lunch until late afternoon. I booked this up as a surprise for my partners 40th and we went along with some friends so I was a bit nervous that they would all be happy with my choice but they were more than and we had a brilliant time. I would defintely recommend this hotel although if you're not keen on walking be prepared to take taxis into the centre as its about a 25 minute walk which didn't bother us as we were lucky with the weather and it was nice to walk off the lovely meals we had. The vatican museums and St Pauls are right on your doorstep though. Although our rooms didn't have balconies there were balconies right opposite our rooms with table and chairs for all to use and a lovely roof terrace which we made use of while the sun was out chilling out after our day sightseeing with a glass of wine. Would like to go back again one day and would not hesitate in booking a room at the alimandi vaticano.

Amazing location if you want to do the Vatican Tour from the viale vatticano entrance - literally across the road. Not an ideal location for the famous shopping of via Frattini etc..this requires transportation to get there. Rooms were fantastically clean and spacious and staff were mainly very accommodating. Unfortunately the SKY system was not working while we stayed and it was difficult to keep our 6year old entertained all evening in the room (weather in Rome was bad so we did not venture out). We also had additional party members arriving at 9pm and they were told at the desk that they could ordere dinner in the restaurant. They left bags to their room and then we went down to the restaurant to eat. We were told it had closed and they could not take our order. Overall a good stay with a few hic-cups!!

I certainly enjoyed my stay in Hotel Alimandi as did my two companions. We had a triple room which was spotless. The staff in the hotel were very helpful. The only thing I could say about the hotel that is negative, there was no kettle in the room. I would certainly stay in the Hotel Alimandi again.

location was great - across street from entrance to Vatican museum. Short walking distance to Vatican City square and Basilica. Close to bus transportation. Complimentary shuttle to airport was great - especially saving tax fare. Well maintained building - we were in the newly renovated (acquired 3 years ago) building that was bought by the original hotel. Exceptional hot breakfast included in room rate. Meal held us until supper time. Staff was very helpful.
