The hotel was very nice and the inside/outside seating area had a great atmosphere and very inviting. The staff was excellent and very accomodating, especially the hotel manager - Saffet. The hotel was also in a great location, near historical sites, the water, many restaurants and shops. The rooms were very small but clean. The only complaint we had is the room we were assigned #501(top floor)which was located next to either the kitchen vent or a motorized unit. We could hear a hum and feel the vibration from our room throughout the night, however, it wasn't bad enough for us to ask for a different room. We also had free wireless internet which was great! We'll be back again.

My husband and I stayed one week,The room was very small, but no equipment was broken. the staff are friendly, we do not feel boring at the homemade breakfast, every morning I smell fresh vegetables aud fruits, natural honey with honeycomb was delicious. In case of checkout, pay in cash(Euro or $)is resonable than use a credit card(in TLY with commission!!)

An excellent hotel, easy to find near the station, very well run. The manager was very helpful in all respects. The room was above a 3 star. Roomy, tv, well stocked bar, excellent shower and very clean. I will return in the future.

Great location and wonderful staff. Rooms were clean. Only one fault - the safes didn't work in any of the 3 rooms we had and the staff didn't seem to know how to make them work. Appreciated the wireless and the great breakfast!

Adora Hotel is in a great location with really helpful staff. Short walk to Topkapi and Aya Sofia. Restaurants basically across the street. A little bit hard to find as it is down a lane that is not a through road. Well worth it. We spent 4 days there and liked it a lot.

I really enjoyed staying at the Adora Hotel with my parents who are in their 60's - they liked it too. I have stayed at several other hotels around the Sultanahmet area and found that this one has an ideal location - it is on a pretty, quiet street a short few min. walk to all the Sultanahmet attractions and in the opposite direction are the nearby ferry docks/train station/Spice Market. The hotel is also located right next to the beautiful Gulhane Park too (where there is a shortcut to/from Topkapi past the archaeological museum). Also, it is about a 30 sec. walk to a tram station that can take you right up to the Grand Bazaar (3 stops away), down to the docks/Spice Market (2 stops away)or across the Golden Horn. But if you would like to walk, it is just a short walk to these places. The rooms are a bit small, but who visits to Istanbul to stay in their room? And most comparable hotel rooms in this part of Istanbul are small anyhow. Our room was nicely decorated and clean with a spacious bathroom, quiet air-conditioning and good mattresses and pillows. I think the hotel has been recently refurbished. The television had international news in English - I didn't check out the other channels. There were also slippers and nice fluffy robes. There is an elevator. Breakfast was much better than I expected (I think it has been improved since earlier reviews) with more variety than the usual Turkish breakfast, delicious too - 8 am breakfast was enough to tide us over until almost 2 pm. There is also a computer with internet off the lobby for free use. Despite the nearby tram, it is very quiet with double glazed windows and there is no noisy call to prayer at 5 AM like I have been awakened with at other hotels in Sultanahmet. The staff was excellent and caring - friendly, and they spoke good English. They were always ready to help us. Tea and coffee are free any time you want, a nice touch. Highly recommended, excellent value.

While this hotel is well situated near historical sites, we found the staff to be unfriendly and unhelpful. Breakfast and dinner were less than satisfactory. The room was adequate although cramped.

The Adora provided a quiet and homely setting to explore the Sultanameht area of Istanbul. It is within easy walking distance of the old city and on a tram route. Although a busy area, the rooms are double glazed and quiet. Like many hotels there is no "in room" tea and coffee so take your own supplies!

This hotel was ideal. We stayed at hotel Adora for 12 nights. The manager, and all staff, were warm, friendly, attentive, and extremely helpful. The location is ideal, walking distance to major points of interest. All services were excellent. Breakfast was great. The room was pleasant and clean, shower is better than home, and there is a small refrigerator in the room. High speed internet is free. Complimentary coffee and tea are available 24 hours a day. There is a restaurant on the main floor. There is also an elevator. We loved our stay, and highly recommend Hotel Adora.
