On the basis that you get what you pay for the Abbey Court Hotel did just that. If you need a place to sleep and not too worried about the hortel experience then this maybe right for you

I was misled by the photos of the hotel exterior, foyer and breakfast room - which look quite acceptable - nice even. When we opened the door to the rabbit hole of a room we were very disappointed. The curtains were stained and tattered, the room very shabby and old charity style furniture. People were smoking in adjacent rooms which came under our door, although non smoking signs were everywhere and we were then threatened by the hotel with prosecution for smoking. The location was good because of Paddington station.

This hotel should not try and pass itself off as a four star because it really is not. It is at best a two star hotel and the only good thing about it is the EXIT

This hotel is located within walking distance from Paddington Station and Lancater gate and quite easy to find once you reach sussex gardens. The room is small and I can not say it is modern and well furnished, but considering the conditions of hotels in London it is acceptable and it keeps cleanliness. They serve basic continental breakfast. Overall hotel staffs including people in restaurant are quite kind and reliable which impressed me a lot. We can borrow hair dryer with deposit of 10 pounds.

ideally situated for our visit-last night of the proms. Shame we received a parking fine as we checked in the pensioners, car park was under improvement and unavailable, car parking on site was the main reason for our booking this hotel.Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Used this hotel as base for airshows at Duxford and Fairford.Great location for travel links anywhere and although the room was small,it was more than adequate . Would have no problem staying there again. Very reasonable. Can't comment on food or family factors as I was solo and did'nt eat there during my stay.

Some employees were very unkindly. My room was very narrow (different from the pictures of the web-site) and the toilet was tiny.

Comfortable and clean; good shower and service. Continental breakfast was a bit skimpy but probably designed for speed (perhaps next time I will pay the extra £3 to upgrade to full English)

It was WAY overpriced for what we got. I realise London is expensive but we stayed in Paris, Rome and Dublin for a lot cheaper and much better accomodation. Our room was located above a pub that was open until 12am+ and our windows didnt close properly so didnt get much sleep. This Hotel is close to the City but you dont need to stay right in the centre with the underground in London. I would never stay here again and dont recomend.

V Close to Paddington Station but rooms tiny and much more dated than photos suggest. Seems they have upgraded the lobby but nothing else! Nothing special but ok. And clean. Could do better for this price.

Rooms clean but a little shabby, in need of some renovations, overall not a bad 'value for money' hotel, would probably return. Breakfast could be a little more interesting with some 'fresh' fruit maybe.

This is an absolutely awful hotel! To start off, I could not get into the hotel for the workmen's vans parked outside, with the piles of rubble?? When I got into the hotel, the reception area looked inviting, but that is about as far as the hotel goes for inviting. The receptionist was rude when I asked if the room had been paid for by my employers, and took my credit card payment before getting into the room???I was then given a room in the basement!! It was th tinniest room Ihave ever stayed in, in fact, the W/C room is not big enough to dry yourself after having a shower the towel i hd to dry mysel with had a huge hole in the middle??. The shower itself was pitiful, and I would have been better having a bucket. Then onto breakfast - This is just a joke! a warm cup of coffee in a dirty cup, followed by "Bread" which is walked past the toaster, and has clearly done the rounds around the other tables, then you're presened with a saucer with 2 slices of what looked like "craft cheese slices" and a piece of cooked ham cut in half on the saucer??? awful! This Was Breakfast!?I did have a choice of cereals which were rice crispies and what looked like cornflakes?? but a family of youngters had emptied the contents of both over the table, and were helping themselves to the leftovers with their hands - great! not!Totally disgusted, I left early and ended up paying for a decent breakfast down the road in Paddington! YUK! awful hotel

This hotel is nothing more than abasic cramped hotel . We had one and a half pieces of toast , 1 slice of heese and aslice of ham forbreakfast. Bathroom was so small you had to pull your trousers down and back up to the toilet as you couldnt turn round as it was to the side of the sink and up a corner, kpt banging elbows in shower and couldnt bend down in shower to wash (and im not a big person . Hotel coulntfind reservation so left us sitting in reception. Lots of other disasters too.

Room was acceptable, good size. Shower was fine, although it was in need of redecoration (large crack in tiles, lead flashing round the base?!). Not the classiest of hotels I've ever stayed in but was perfectly acceptable for my needs.Room service was good, clean sheets every day.

Stayed there with our son for a couple of days in London - very good location, but rooms are small, the shower basin had a very ugly, makeshift sealing with some black tape, and our room was right above a busy pub, and was therefore very noisy till long after midnight. On the other hand, it was good value for money by London standards - the room was clean, the staff friendly and it included breakfast, although the breakfast room got very crowded at times. All in all, I might spend a couple of nights there again.

Lovely reception, bedrooms in dire need of updating. One of the two rooms we had a smoky aroma.

Give us your personal opinion on the hotel, and use this as an opportunity to give other guests invaluable information on the quality of this hotel. Limited space in room. Small TV with extra deposit for remote control. However room clean and comfortable.
